I generally use iperf to do local testing to make sure things are working correctly on my end and then use the speedtest.net cli to test out to the internet. How can i test speed and latency of do regions now before creating droplets? It has to be a web application.

I used ookla, fast.com, and google’s internet speed test which gave me the corresponding 160mbps, 250mbps,. Basically what the title says, i'm wondering how bad/important or even how accurate ooklas speed test is for the download and upload latency; The problem is the non official implementation of speedtest cli on freebsd.
Which internet speed test is trusted and why is there such a variance between them? Basically like how speedtest.net works, except i want to point it towards my own server so i can test my speed towards the server from elsewhere? I usually manually set the test.
