I'm looking to get a. Hi everyone, i have been uploading 8k videos to youtube since 2021, and they've generally been available to watch in 8k within a day or so. It is confirmed quest 2 can play 8k 60fps hdr+ video smoothly!

Hi all, i was just on youtube and tried to play 8k video through chrome browser and it was somehow laggy. Youtube has rendered some of my earlier. Let's talk about 8k video in smartphones.
From the info on the video, it seems they want you to go to a different site to view in 8k.
Which, in many cases might be… 4k no problems, all good. Insta360 x4 is lying about 8k videos, they definitely use 7680x3840 as format, but only use 80% (6.4k) to actually record the video Cpu/gpu requirements for 8k video playback?
The video just seems to stutter and not smooth at all. I'm finding it really difficult to find an answer to the question of what cpu/gpu it takes to have smooth 8k playback. A 8k 3d 60fps vr180 video spreads the pixels out over a 180 fov, so when you are watching the video, you are only ever seeing a fraction of the entire 8k pixels spread out over 180. 8k is 4 times the resolution of 4k, so theoretically speaking, it is 4 times better looking than go (at 4k max).
I just uploaded an 8k video to youtube, but youtube says that the video is processing up to 4k. does this mean that the video won't ever be available in 8k?
Just because someone put 8k into the title doesn't mean the video is actually available in 8k. However, an 8k video that i uploaded. People say it's just useless as nobody has 8k tv and it just doesn't look.
