I can't seem to send a 30mb video from a non icloud email. Many email providers put a 10 or 15 mb limit on file size it will send. Maildrop serves as a conduit to deliver attachments that otherwise exceed the mail servers limits.

As i recall, i had a similar issue some months ago. I get the mail drop prompt, select it. In those cases you need to setup mail drop on your account:
