I have read many blogs and the I installed xampp v3.2.1 because i wanted to learn how to create database in mysql and learn more about tomcat. In windows 7 it started automatically when windows came up.

Copy database files from mysql folder (under old xampp folder) except share, bin, and script folder see attached image to see which files need copy (only files with in green box) and. Problem with xampp in my case is when specifying a different folder other than htdocs are used, especially with multiple domains and dedicated folders. I would like to know how you upgrade php in xampp for windows? I tried to download the latest php version from the main php site but when i check (phpinfo) i still get that the previous version is. My xampp control panel is not showing in the desktop (windows 10), but can only up the servers through the shortcut (minimized option in the task bar). However, i am a little confused about what to do now.
